You Are Not a Dumb American

You got 6/10 correct.
You know a good deal about American history,
but there's some basic facts you have wrong.
Time to go back to history class!
Are You a Dumb American?
Of course I'm not a dumb American -- I'm a New Zealander, and have never been out of NZ.
I'm not really proud of my score here but considering I am only 14 and we are not taught American history, it's not too bad.
We learn Maori history and culture every year in primary school, and about British heroes like Captain Cook and Robert Falcon Scott. It makes me furious that Scott is always portrayed as the great Antarctic hero and Amundsen, who beat him to the pole, as a weasel!
We learn a lot about British history in general, too. We're constantly reminded that we are members of the Commonwealth, encouraged to talk in BBC English and it is said New Zealanders are "more British than the British".
I think the only project we've done on the US was about the iron and steel industry in Pittsburgh.
Yes, riveting!
