Baby, now that I've found you, Foundations
video, I can't let you go.

Heck, Sixties music sounds better and
better with every year to my old ears.

Oh I can change with the times
-- look, I'm on the internet!

But I watched Thunderball tonight -- first time
in 40 years -- and Sean Connery was still absolute
class, as was the movie and its soundtrack.
Tom Jones sang like a god.

I was in love with it all and still am.

Mum has made me a bikini for Xmas.
So now I seem to have everything.
We've just got to have hot sunshine in Alexandra.

Dear Aunty D

I have a feeling you were thinking of me.
I identify with everything about the age and the sense of scorn + frustration.

And here's an example of how EMBARRASSING it is to be this age.
I looked down at myself in the bath one night a few months ago and was aghast to see I'd sprouted hair down below.
One day it wasn't there, next day it was.
I could deal with that but I started growing breasts as well, and that meant I would have to say something to Mum.
But I just couldn't raise the subject.

The problem has now been resolved, but only after another humiliation.
Mum and I went to a Scottish dance on Saturday night.
While I was doing some sort of fling on the dancefloor I could feel the bumps jiggling under my fair isle jersey.
Well, anyhow, Mum noticed and pulled me aside.
"JUDY! YOU NEED A BRA!"
So I guess we'll be making a little trip to town this week.

Voice of reason in a world of madness -- obsessive
 slimming and beauty treatments.

The blogger is a former model and
knows much about eating disorders.
One of her missions is to expose and
 shut down pro-anorexic websites.
Teenage girls, especially, need to know the
deadly dangers of thinking anorexia is cool.

The woman below was a model who starved to death.
When she died she weighed about what
a normal seven-year-old would.

There are other stories just as alarming.

Last night I dreamed I was getting married. I
was standing on a chair with my "gown" on and
Mum was adjusting it with pins and tacking.

The fabric was red gingham, as in a school
uniform. I asked Mum who I was marrying and
she said: "It doesn't matter".
