You'll need stamina, curiosity and good old geekiness
to persevere with this test, to find out where you
fit in the hierarchy of Dungeons and Dragons.
There are 120+ questions, aimed at calculating
your values, natural abilities and attitudes.

I don't know whether this is good or bad but I was
assessed as a "True Neutral Human Bard".
Neutral meaning neither good nor evil, human being
my race as against orcs, halflings etc, and
bard as one of the 11 major archetypes.

I Am A:
True Neutral Human Bard (7th Level)

Can you believe they picked ME
for the swimsuit issue of 1962?

At the time I was pretty flattered but looking at
it now I'm a bit miffed that they
hid my face behind lettering.

Test results say I'm a bit of a wuss.
I'm not cut out for the really putrid jobs but could
carry a sedan chair, search for bones or cigar ends as
a scavenger, operate a treadmill, that sort of thing.

Given that there's no blue blood in my past, and
in fact a fair amount of Rob Roy, I was never going
to be carried around on a litter, was I?

Make a kaleidoscope.
Or more likely, make lots of them.
This is an online toy with
infinite possibilities.

Every post a gem -- whether it's funny, quirky
or deadly serious (eg Middle East politics).

Keit is easily the best newcomer I've seen on SU.

Christmas was fun.
I'm just mad on my new record -- both sides.
My brother Graham gave me a most gorgeous little Lucky Troll which I call "Snoopy" and a ring from a cracker made a sweet outfit for it to wear.

The Andy Williams Show was terrific.

Kahlila, Judefa, John and I have been having this three-way
conversation, and boy does that get confusing!
But here's the best news I have had this Christmas
(and it's Christmas Day here now):
John, who is being treated for cancer, is feeling great.

He wrote (and has allowed me to pass on) . . .

I try to answer all the notes and letters and sometimes I get mixed up and miss one.
I am doing well and I feel GREAT.
I am ready for Christmas and so excited I can hardly stand it . . .
I am responding positively to the chemo and look forward to answering all the notes I get.

So guess what I sent back to John: HOT HUGES!

A sweet man who befriended me but speaks very
poor English inadvertantly sent me these
a few weeks ago (he meant "warm hugs").
It has become part of my vocab but I give
HOT HUGES out only very sparingly.
So far only to John (cos he's a fighter) and Caravia,
my teacher and role model for a passionate life.

As you can see, she needs a little
cheering on at the moment too.

Birthday No #1
Dec 23, 2007 6:54am    (383 reviews)  pop-music, music, music-history  http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/member/bir...

Curiosity got the better of me and I dialled
up what was No 1 the day I was born.
Sure enough, one of the songs I often
endured as a child, and loathed.
How much is that doggie in the window . . .
Woof woof.

If my parents' generation had been a little more sophisticated musically
speaking, I would have a lot more respect for them.
Did the Depression and war really
stunt their growth that much?

Even worse, when real class comes along in
the form of the Beatles, Dad dismisses
it as "banging and crashing music"!
