Week to April 1, 1967
Saturday
We didn't do much till the afternoon -- when we drove around
Clyde and then went to see the Storries at the camp.
I'd just LOVE to go camping again.
What a terrific time they must have -- I really envy them.
Sunday
In the morning we saw some rabbits.
After lunch we went to the boat regatta.
Of all people, Steve was there.
Then we went to the baths.
After tea Robert brought us two rabbits, which he had shot.
Dad skinned them and I got one foot -- which I'm going
to keep for as long as I can.
Monday (Easter Monday)
Again, it was a gorgeous day and I went down to the river.
After lunch we had a round of mini-golf.
 Tuesday
Emma Peel's back -- beautiful as ever.
I had quite a good birthday, what with
16 bob and bikini briefs, but the
trip home from Alexandria was a drag.
The Monkees on TV were terrific xxxxxx
Wednesday
During phys ed we used the new gym.
It's just terrific.
The La De Dahs were on TV.
I just about flipped over their singing.
Thursday
Poor Neil is sick.
He's been vomiting all evening.
What a mess!
I had a bit of fun taping some pops for him.
I'd love a tape recorder.
Friday
Nothing much happened.
Mufti day at school was a bit of a novelty.
Lana Fairweather looked a real beatnik.
Joanne and Barbara C had gorgeous skinny ribs on.

Friday
We had darling Mr Cooper for Maths.
Terrible English test.
Was pleased with results of French test though -- top of the class.
Had to tell Mum the truth about Neil.
Saturday
We went mushrooming.
C'Mon was really terrific and now I've really got to like Sandy Edmonds, after all.
Mr Hislop came for the evening.
Sunday
My request was on the radio.
It was Pamela, Pamela from Wayne Fontana.
Price & Prejudice on Cinema Parade wasn't bad.
Monday
We talked Mr Hutson into singing and playing the guitar in Art.
I thought he was good.
We had ourselves a real ball at the school dance.
It was all mod dancing.
Tuesday
Good old Paul (my cousin) was on TV because he found
the tigers that escaped from Wellington Zoo.
Wednesday
Had rotten French and Science tests.
Got reports -- mine was quite good.
Four old ducks from Tasmania came to visit us.
What old-fashioned drags they were.

Thursday
I worked flat out all day.
At 4.15 we left for Alexandria.
I wish I could get acquainted with someone -- the family is a drag.
Friday (Good Friday)
Straight after breakfast I went to the river and sunbathed on the shingle.
It was my most peaceful experience for months.
I'd love to have stayed there all Easter.
But in the afternoon we drove around town.

but I guess it really was a long
time ago. For all of us.
