We're Two of a Kind. Hooray!
I didn't think the Similarity Meter was too accurate till I
opened Sonia's page and there it was,
telling me she's my best match yet.

I know I'm dreaming. But still.

Get the rules for this from Daph, and play along

Judy looks like she is having a difficult time.
Judy looks like she will get away with murder.

Judy needs to get slapped sometimes
(Apparently so; I am always giving cheek, even right now.)

Some Judy
I found on
the internet

Judy needs counselling.
Judy needs to go to anger management class.

Judy needs help.

More specifically . . .
Judy needs a Guardian Angel to help with
costs of surgery for a mammary tumor.

Lordy, Google, I can't take any more of this.
Haven't you got ANY good news for me?

I'm absolutely ashamed of the mark I got for the maths test.
I don't even want to repeat it in my own diary.

The Monkees were good on TV.
At last I have made up my mind which one I like best.
It's Mike Nesmith -- I'm absolutely CRAZY over him.
Oh I wish I could think of some good words.
I've never seen anyone as dreamy, as handsome,
as talented, as funny, as romantic . . .

Mum went to a PTA meeting.

I still think of Mike Nesmith all the time.
I can honestly say I have never envied anyone as much as his wife.
Peter Tork is getting better all the time too.
I used to hate him but now he's my second favourite.

Nothing unusual happened.

I want want want a Stones LP.

Neil is staying here and a bloody pest.
Absolute opposite to Mike Nesmith.

Nothing much.

Didn't do anything.
Felt like staying up all night.
Alas, bed at 10 o'clock.

Yes, kids, this was about it before the internet.
The washing went on a line. Outside.
And one of the things I did when I was
bored was to pore over sewing patterns.
I even had the old Simplicity, Butterick etc catalogues,
which the draper sometimes saved for me.
From those I could fantasise about the ideal
wardrobe, and collect and rank favourites.
It was like a pre-internet version
of SU, come to think of it.
I play with my little friends on here
much the same way sometimes.

A face, a shadow, a chair, a forlorn wish that
Dr Walpurgis would come by in the dead of
the night and find something to alight upon
here.

Do I post these offerings in vain?

A few things I now know about octopuses, thanks to Kharite

-- short lifespan
-- three hearts per eight legs
-- they're intelligent
-- there is a blue-ringed variety that can kill humans with its venom (not just its legs)

Kharite presents occasional projects on a topic of her choice.
The previous one, on poppies, was just as interesting.
